AMERICA AND ITS USE OF MILITARY FORCE ?

BARACK OBAMA SAYS:
"Whether you like it or not
we remain a dominant military superpower"

Concerning the Ukraine crisis, President Obama has declared and raised publicly the question
                                                      "Use military force?"

America And Its Use of Military Force?

Well, "military force"does not only mean having to go out there and kill people. In fact, "military force" should permit to win by NOT using military force at all. President Obama, the Commander-in-Chief, better have Sun Tzu (6th century BC) and Carl von Clausewitz (19th century AD) as bedside reading to know the art of war and be victorious without having to fire a shot!

For the great American nation to be a "dominant military superpower" is not just to flex its muscles by showing off at parades its plentiful and sophisticate military hardware, including its scary nuclear weapons (BOUM? BOUM? BOUM?) In competition with Russia, China or even in anticipation of a really good H-bomb by Iran on Israel and by North Korea on South Korea. Everybody predicts such suicide-holocaust except probably the Iranians and the north Koreans themselves! The time for conventional warfare has passed and we have much more difficult problems to solve.

Coming back to America's actual military power, it means 3 very clear and specific things:
- First and foremost, its force of dissuasion must deter any adversary from thinking of attacking it.
- Second, its force of strike must be able to defeat the enemy attacks.
- Third, its force of occupation is to have significant US troops stationed in foreign countries.

In this 21st century the United States of America as "dominant military superpower" can now rely only obits Force of Dissuasion because its enormous Force of Strike and Force of Occupation deal mainly with conventional warfare and are not much effective against subversive warfare and terrorism.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, the great American nation is still considered a "dominant military superpower" but the past 5 years have revealed its serious failure in the exercise of its force of dissuasion when faced with provocations and confrontations by other major powers like Russia in the Ukraine crisis or China in the South China Sea disputes involving the national security of American allies or even by lesser ones like Iran, Syria, Libya, North Korea ...

America's enormous conventional war machine in the exercise of its force of strike in Iraq and Afghanistan has simply exposed its painful limitations when there is no clear cut "fighting front" with enemy troops not wearing any uniforms and completely mingled in the local population.

As for America's force of occupation in foreign lands with the mission of fighting terrorism, subversive warfare and nation building, the presence of US troops has generated even increasing antagonism and fighting with more death and devastation everyday for the civilian population. Now with the withdrawal of the US forces of occupation, the situation has become catastrophic without any light at the end of the tunnel for anybody!

America has been "a dominant military power" in the past two centuries. The American people are proud and glad to feel and be secured for having the military might to defend themselves and their great nation. There is nothing to be apologetic about it. America's Force of Dissuasion (or force of persuasion) should be able to offer effective leadership in world affairs for the much needed stability and peace which are now visibly lacking.

Tapping into the public’s growing sentiment that President Obama is in over his head, The Amateur argues that Obama’s toxic combination of incompetence and arrogance have run our nation and his presidency off the rails. “Obama was both completely inexperienced and ideologically far to the left of Americans when he entered the White House,” says Klein. “And he was so arrogant that he didn’t even know what he didn’t know.”

Klein, who is known for getting the inside scoop on everyone from the Kennedys to the Clintons, reveals never-before-published details about the Obama administration’s political inner workings and about Barack and Michelle’s personal lives, including:

The inordinate influence Michelle wields over Barack and her feud with a high-profile celebrity
The real reason Rahm Emmanuel left the White House (it wasn’t for family reasons)
Why Valerie Jarrett’s role is closer to that of Rasputin than impartial senior advisor
Obama’s problems with American Jews
How Obama has purposefully forgotten and ignored those that put him in power, including the Kennedys, and the Jewish and African American communities in Chicago.

Why the so-called “centrist” Obama is actually in revolt against the values of the society he was elected to lead
Why Bill Clinton loathes Barack Obama and tried to get Hillary to run against him in 2012
The spiteful rivalry between Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey
How Obama split the Kennedy family
How Obama has taken more of a personal role in making foreign policy than any president since Richard Nixon—with disastrous results
How Michelle Obama and Valerie Jarrett are the real powers behind the White House throne
